On the morning of October 12, 2022, the closing ceremony of the Guangxi preliminary round of the 8th National Ceramic Vocational Skills Competition, part of the 2022 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition, was held in the Clock Tower Conference Room of the Ceramics Town. Approximately 100 people attended the ceremony, including Lu Zhijun, chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Finance, Trade, Light Industry, Textile, and Tobacco Trade Union; Lei Lingwen, vice president and secretary-general of the Guangxi Ceramic Industry Association; Liang Jiandong, a level-four researcher at the Yulin Municipal Federation of Trade Unions; Li Chengshi, professor at Nanning University, Chinese Arts and Crafts Master, and vice chairman of the selection committee for this competition; contestants; and guests. The ceremony was presided over by Yang Hong, vice director of the Beiliu Municipal People's Congress and chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions.

At the closing ceremony, Li Chengshi, professor at Nanning University, Chinese Arts and Crafts Master, and vice chairman of the selection committee for this competition, gave a review report on the selection competition. He stated that the overall level of the two projects in this selection competition was high, reflecting the contestants' practical skills and theoretical levels. Among them, the "Spring Scenery on the River" work in the ceramic decoration project (enamel on porcelain) had a beautiful overall visual effect, with strong ancient trees, fresh green buds, and wooden houses and small boats composing a scene of the spring scenery on the Jiangnan River, symbolizing the green mountains and waters everywhere in the motherland. The "Gongchun Pot" work in the ceramic product design project made artistic transformations and extensions based on the traditional Gongchun pot, with a strong sense of natural beauty, great changes in form, and a simple and natural artistic conception, which is wonderfully natural.

Following this, Lei Lingwen, vice president and secretary-general of the Guangxi Ceramic Industry Association, read the award-winning results document of the selection competition.

Subsequently, Liang Jiandong, a level-four researcher at the Yulin Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, presented awards to the contestants who won third prize in this selection competition. They are: Ceramic Decoration Project: Wei Jun'an from Qinzhou Fanyun Culture Co., Ltd.; Liang Yelan from Guangxi Qinzhou Taose Taoxiang Pottery Art Co., Ltd.; Chen Tianxin from Guangxi Qinzhou Huadeng Pottery Art Co., Ltd.; Ceramic Product Designer Project: Wei Yingyi from Wangye Nixing Pottery Co., Ltd.; Chen Bingrong from Qinzhou Qinnan District Yixin Pavilion Culture and Art Museum; Deng Jianfeng from Nanning Vocational and Technical College.

They are: Ceramic Decoration Project: Yun Ning from Guangxi Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College; Chen Binghui from Chen Binghui Pottery Studio in Qinzhou Qinnan District; Ceramic Product Designer Project: Su Chongjie from Chongjie Pottery Design Studio in Qinzhou Qinnan District; Su Fengchu from Lu Jingping Pottery Studio in Qinzhou City.

They are: Ceramic Decoration Project: Zhou Ruichang from Beiliu Guijiang Pottery Society Rural Tourism Development Co., Ltd.; Ceramic Product Designer Project: Su Shunheng from Qinzhou Shunheng Pottery Design Studio.

Finally, Lu Zhijun, chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Finance, Trade, Light Industry, Textile, and Tobacco Trade Union, gave a speech. He said that in this selection competition, after two days of intense and orderly competition, a total of 12 contestants won first, second, and third prizes in the two competition categories, 20 contestants won excellent awards, and 3 units won excellent organization awards. According to the quota allocated by the national final and the order of results in this selection competition, 6 outstanding contestants were selected to participate in the national finals. He hoped that relevant enterprises and departments would take this competition as an opportunity to increase the intensity of on-the-job training and training, cultivate skilled talents of high quality, and create a more relaxed growth environment for the emergence of high-skilled talents. He also hoped that the contestants and skilled workers would closely follow production practices, actively study technology and skills, be based in their posts, be proficient in multiple skills, fully utilize their talents in their work, contribute to the inheritance of Chinese ceramic culture, promote the transformation and upgrading of the ceramic industry, and contribute to the construction of a strong manufacturing country.
